GTA 6 platforms: PS5, Xbox, PC and older consoles explained
Every platform answer, separated into confirmed, explicitly unsupported and not yet announced.
GTA 6 is confirmed for PS5, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026. Rockstar has not announced a PC, PS4, Xbox One or Nintendo Switch 2 version.
Confirmed launch platforms
Rockstar and Take-Two name two platform families for launch: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. PlayStation's official page also labels the game PS5 Pro Enhanced. That is the complete confirmed list as of August 19, 2026.
The safest wording is important: a platform being unannounced is not proof that it will never receive the game. It only means there is no release you can responsibly promise today.
Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
A GTA 6 PC version has not been officially announced. There is no official PC release date, system-requirements sheet, PC preorder or supported launcher. Websites claiming an exact PC date are speculating unless they link to a newer Rockstar announcement.
Rockstar has released other major games on PC after their console debuts, but a pattern is not a product announcement. Do not purchase keys, hardware or software based on an invented date.
PS5 and PS5 Pro features
PlayStation says GTA 6 supports DualSense haptic feedback, adaptive triggers and controller-speaker effects. Its product page also advertises Tempest 3D Audio, near-instant loading through the PS5 SSD, Remote Play and PS5 Pro enhancements.
No official source cited here specifies target resolutions or frame rates. Claims of a confirmed 4K/60 fps mode should therefore be treated as unverified until Rockstar or the platform holder publishes technical modes.
PS4, Xbox One and Switch 2 status
PlayStation explicitly says GTA 6 is not playable on PS4. Rockstar's current materials do not list Xbox One. Nintendo Switch 2 is also absent from Rockstar and Take-Two's platform lists.
Xbox Series S is included because Rockstar names Xbox Series X|S, not only Series X. Exact differences between Series S and Series X have not been detailed.

Will GTA 6 be on PC?
Rockstar has not announced a PC version. A later release is possible, but no date is official.

Can PS4 play GTA 6?
No. PlayStation's official GTA 6 page says the game is not playable on PS4.
